10 Dog Commandments
To set the tone, thought a little pic would be nice 
I found this on a loose piece of paper the other day, no name on it I can credit.
The 10 Commandments of a Dog
- Remember BEFORE you adopt me that my life is likely to last 10-15 years
- Give me time to understand what you want of me.
- Place your trust in me. It’s crucial for my well-being.
- Don’t be angry with me for long, and don’t lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I have only YOU.
- Talk to me everyday. Even if I don’t understand your words, I understand what is in your voice.
- Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
- Remember that before you hit me that I have teeth that could crush the bones in your hand, but I CHOOSE not to bite you.
- Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, or been out in the sun too long, or my heart is getting old and weak.
- Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old someday.
- Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say “I can’t bear to watch it” or “take him to the back and end it”. EVERYTHING is easier for me if you are there. Any separation from you will be painful for me especially toward the end of my life.

My shadow was 14 when he passed on, I miss him still and hope my new puppy lives as long and is is just as wonderful and I never forget these words.

What a beautiful message to all dog lovers. I believe they are my angels. They watch over us when we don’t even know it . I have a white minature poodle and a Westie. Because I am disabled they worry about me. Especially my Murphy the poodle. You can see it in his eyes.
I Love them all so much.

Heartfelt words. The last one got me choked up though; I was only little when I saw our dog being put down. Miss ya, Bosie!
