I found this on a loose piece of paper the other day, no name on it I can credit.

The 10 Commandments of a Dog

1. Remember BEFORE you adopt me that my life is likely to last 10-15 years
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It’s crucial for my well-being.
4. Don’t be angry with me for long, and don’t lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I have only YOU.
5. Talk to me everyday. Even if I don’t understand your words, I understand what is in your voice.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Remember that before you hit me that I have teeth that could crush the bones in your hand, but I CHOOSE not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, or been out in the sun too long, or my heart is getting old and weak.
9. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old someday.
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say “I can’t bear to watch it” or “take him to the back and end it”. EVERYTHING is easier for me if you are there. Any separation from you will be painful for me especially toward the end of my life.

We wuz out rollerblading along Ballona creek the other day. Indy and Giz running alongside me, and mostly in front. Caught Indy striking a pose for me mid stride..

I was driving the car the other day, Gizmo was sat in the passenger seat. I looked at him and he was looking at me with his tongue sticking out like this. Note this isn’t hanging out intentionally as you can see his mouth is clearly shut. His tongue doesn’t actually fit and often protrudes just a wee bit..  you can tell when it’s been sticking out a while cos the end goes a bit dry and I try and catch it before he pulls it in.

This amount of tongue sticking out was toooooo much!

I almost crashed laughing.

A bath is not one of his favorite things, as you can probably tell from his face here.
